Launching the Future Factories Program
Transforming 4,000 factories in the Kingdom into operationally and technically advanced factories.
The program aims to increase factories’ adoption of the best global practices of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, reduce production costs, reduce dependence on unskilled labor, and increase the competitiveness and operational efficiency of the existing and new factories across all the industrial sectors, with a focus on the strategic sectors
All licensed factories in the Kingdom at their different technical development levels can benefit from the Future Factories Program.
Future Factories Objectives
Raising the level of digital maturity
Improving operational efficiency
Increasing industrial capabilities
Promoting export development
Improving the working environment in factories
Providing qualitative and attractive Jobs
About the program
The program aims to develop the industrial sector in the Kingdom by focusing on two streams
The First Stream
It provides assistance and support during the implementation of projects.
The Second Stream
It has cybersecurity services for IT operations to keep going smoothly without any threats.
Methodology
All licensed factories in the Kingdom across different technical development levels can benefit from this program. The program adopts global methodologies of Operational Excellence and the concepts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to determine the level of factory development and accordingly, develop a plan to move the factory from the current level to the targeted level. The assessment methodology is based on evaluating the factory across 16 dimensions and ranking each dimension from 0 to 5.
Smart Industry Readiness Index
The “Future Factories” program follows the SIRI (Smart Industry Readiness Index) methodology
It is the index adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and approved by the World Economic Forum to assess the digital maturity of factories.
SIRI Assessment
Certified SIRI Assessors
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has embraced “The Smart Industry Readiness Index” to gauge how digitally advanced national factories are, a globally accepted measure for assessing the adoption of the fourth industrial revolution.
Masar Tech offers factory readiness assessment services with evaluators accredited by the International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT). The assessment evaluates your factory’s digital maturity and identifies key areas for improvement and optimization.
